The presidential candidate of the Dominican Revolutionary Party, Hipólito Mejía, surpasses the presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party, Danilo Medina, 51.3 to 43.3 percent, according to data from a survey conducted by the firm ABC Marketing between May 1 and May 5, with a sample of 1,375 people interviewed.
The study, conducted with a secret ballot and ballots similar to those used in the elections, assigns a total of 3.1 percent to presidential candidates Guillermo Moreno, of the Alianza País party; Eduardo Estrella, of Dominicans for Change; Julián Serulle, of the Frente Amplio, and Max Puig, of the Alliance for Democracy.
